I saw this on the Discovery Health Channel last night. This man has HPV and is from a small town in Indonesia, they call him the tree man. If you don't know, those are forms of warts on his body that some of them have grown into woody horns. It has caused osteoporosis in the bones in which his fingers have disintegrated, that's right, disintegrated. You think your life is hard? Try having tree limbs as hands. Really puts things into perspective right?

I had the impression last night that you were pretty upset with that story on Discovery. Your post proves me right. So sad. But his attitude was pretty remarkable. We're wimps.

I'm sorry to tell you this but I have a REALLY hard time buying that this is true. Granted I don't have the Discovery Channel, but wouldn't they have severed his limbs by now or something? Camdyn was scared over it and I said "there is no way that this is real life". I need proof Gerry. (too many tabloids out there make me wary).
Tree hands would be hard. But a dimpled butt ain't no piece of cake either! I do believe it is real, but I'm with Stace on why hasn't anything been done about it yet? Is it a money issue?
You girls are funny. This is for sure real. We watched it on the Discovery Channel and then I came home and found this picture. At one point when they were sawing off some of his limbs a beetle crawled out from underneath his branches, yikes!! Check on Discovery Healthy for the treeman, it's for real!!
Alrighty then....I looked it up and sure enough. For real! That is one freaky case of warts. There is nothing I hate more than warts and my family has had our fair share. Poor tree man.
I saw that show about him on discovery and it physically makes me sick. I can barely even look at him..so sad! I'm never complaing about my occassional zits ever again! Tracy's comment was pretty good. It could have been Bundy in a Halloween costume...sad
